New York Day 4

The last day in New York was upon us. Our packed cases sat by our hotel room door ready to head off to the airport to board our plane to Las Vegas. However, before that, we wanted to visit Central Park, which is a must-visit location if you’re planning a trip to New York. It is somewhere that you just cannot miss out if you’re in the city, and so we woke up early in order to make it to the park and see as much of it as possible before we had to leave. Of course Central Park is absolutely huge and so we only saw a fraction of it, but what we managed to walk through was so picturesque and beautiful.

We walked to the park via The Dakota, which is the building where John Lennon was tragically assassinated.

In the park, we went for breakfast at a little place called The Boathouse. The scenery in and around Central Park is beautiful and I could sit for hours and just watch people go by, whether they are commuting to work or jogging in the park, the peacefulness and serenity of it in contrast with the bustle of the city is welcomed.

Sadly, we couldn’t stay at Central Park for too long as we had to get back to the hotel to get our stuff and make our way to the airport for the next part of our holiday!
